It was my birthday on
Wednesday. I never do much in the realm of
celebration. This year I bummed around the house until I had to go to work at three. I wasn't feeling very well for most of the day. Work was
ok, but not thrilling. I'm working at a Kiosk in
Walmart for the most part and Andy came to visit me since he needed to get a few things anyway. When I came home, Andy had a birthday cake waiting for me (which I had to frost because he was scared). He even bought candles for it and put them on in the shape of a heart. It was the first time I had candles on a birthday cake in several years. Then he made me a nice supper of lemon chicken with potatoes and
broccoli for supper. All in all, it was a pretty typical day, but nice.
On the seventh I went with Andy to the cities because he had to go to the doctor for his
TMJ issues. It was a terrible trip because the roads were so terrible. We saw several people who had driven off the road and two vehicles that had actually flipped. When we got home, I got a call from a place called
buyfun. I had two interviews with them and they called to see if I wanted to work for them. I accepted. My title is "product
development specialist". It sounds fancy but it's that impressive. I'll basically be helping get new costumes ready for
Halloween. The hours are 8-4:30
mon-
fri which is really nice. The pay and benefits are not great, but at least it's a full time job and I think it will be fun. And on the plus side, I get 40% off costumes three times a year. I'm training
this week and will go full time the week after. I'm going to keep the
JH tax job and just work weekends to make a little more money while it's there.
The other day I got a birthday card in the mail from my Grandma. It was nice to get and arrived just in time for my b-day, but someone had sliced both ends of it open. It l

ooked like someone was trying to see if there was any cash inside. She sent a check which was fortunately still in there, but I think if there had been cash, it would have been long gone. Then the same day I got a letter from the post office. It contained a slip that said a package I had sent was lost. There was also a ripped part of the packaging I had sent a book in. It was just enough to contain the send to address and return address. So somehow they ripped the hell out of the packaging and lost the book. I had to send them a description of what was lost for them to look for and had to refund $5o for the book that was lost which I had sold on
ebay for Andy and which he won't get reimbursed for. I'm really not pleased with the post office right now.
Good luck with the new job.
ReplyDeleteI guess I don't have to tell you I never got around to sending you a b-day card. I can just say it got lost in the mail...
Love you anyway!
