Biked.

I'm really pushing it with my two posts a month goal...

I finally got my motorcycle back from the shop....two weeks to the day from when I dropped it off, and 9 days later than they said it would be. After two weeks, you'd think it would be running flawlessly. Instead, it ran worse than when I took it in. It sounded terrible, the choke wasn't working, the clutch wouldn't catch well, the throttle lagged, and it topped out at 70 when I know it could go at least 90 before I took it in.

I took it back and hoped that they would take their thumbs out of their arses and get something done. Fortunately it only took a day to get it back, but unfortunately they really didn't fix anything. The throttle still seems off and the choke doesn't work. Sometime I can get it to 80, but it has no power once it's in overdrive when it used to kick some butt. Andy and I learned how to fix my clutch, so that at least is better.

Despite all the crap, I've been riding it a lot. I got to ride it to work every day this week and plan on riding to fairmont tomorrow for my dad's birthday. Maybe I'll see if it can go faster than 80 or if it's magically regained it's power.

It's been a long time since i've put anything up with the guitar. I haven't been playing a whole lot lately, but awhile ago I tried to record me playing some green day to show that I don't always play fluffy songs. I failed because I hate playing stuff like this on an acoustic guitar so I don't try very hard (my electric is in fairmont and lacks an amp). I also only played a minute's worth and completely bite it at the end of the clip. But I know you know I'm not perfect so I figured it's not a big deal if I share some of my fumbled efforts. The song is called Fashion Victim.

Bikeless

My motorcycle was acting up in the middle of July. It leaked gas and then the RMPs kicked up big time so it was idling at 2000-3000 which was ridiculous compared to the normal 1250 ish that it was at before. After a few weeks of that crap, I decided to take it in to get the carbs cleaned. They had a ton of trouble getting it to stop leaking and had to order some parts for it. They've had it for 10 days now. There was a chance I'd get it back today, but now it's raining so I can't get it anyway. I've been very annoyed and saddened by the whole situation. The riding season is winding down and I've missed ten days that I could have been riding. On the plus side, it should ride really well when I finally get it back.

Andy and I went camping last weekend in Albert Lea. It was a nice site, but a mile hike with all the gear was not very pleasant. The fishing was also terrible. 8 hours worth of fishing and 9 million bullhead later, and all we caught were two perch big enough to eat. We caught a variety of sizes of bullhead so I have one picture with a big one that Andy caught and another with a stupid bobber-sized one that I could. I hate them.

We wanted to go camping again this weekend, but the rain kept us home. Now we will probably be bums all weekend and not do anything exciting.
