Oh Hi 2011

I guess it's time remember to put a new year on my checks, and other various dated documents. How annoying. But happy new year anyway I guess.

For new year's eve, Andy and I went out to supper with a couple friends and then came home to drink cheaply, play video games, and watch tv. Pretty exciting stuff.

The several x-mas celebrations I attended were nice. I got to see a lot of family I don't get to see regularly. I got a lot of neat stuff, including a brand new sewing machine. I will have to fiddle with it to learn the various setting and stitches, but I can go back the the place it was bought to get some free lessons, which I plan on taking advantage of at some point in the near future.

This Sunday I will officially start working as a tax preparer again for Jackson Hewitt. I'm not sure what to expect as far as how busy we will be. They think it will be a lot more busy than last year because H&R Block lost a program that allowed people to get their money right away, but we still have the option. So for all the schmucks who need their money NOW! we anticipate getting their business. It will be interesting anyway.

I guess it's time for name that tune. Since people have been guessing correctly, I'll just go ahead and name all the songs that I have not yet named. I believe we are at the third song needing to be named (From the post Oh Xmas Tree, Oh X-mas Tree). Mr or Ms. Anonymous correctly named the song as Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) by Green Day. The last song (from the post Oh X-mas Tree, Oh X0mas Tree Part 2) was (kind of) correctly named by Emily and Andy as Hey Hey My My (Out of the Blue). I say kind of because technically I was playing My My Hey Hey (Out of the Blue) which is the acoustic version, whereas Hey Hey My My is the electric version (which I don't like as much). Get it?

So for this week, and since everyone seems to be getting these all so easily, I picked a song that I don't think most people will know off hand. It's by am Australia band and came out in 2003. You're hint is that the song title is in Spanish. If you guess correctly, you get two gold stars.

  1. Dear Nicole,

Me gusta la cancion, tocaste el guitarra como un raton en el bano. Perhaps not the title but all the spanich i can ship out these days. My favorite part (aside from the wonderful accompaniment) is that you appear to be wearing a plaid smoking jacket.
